Day 3, Thursday, Tokyo

Written in Dublin on 26th

We started the day from travel agency in Shinjuku and friendly lady arranged our bus and Shinkansen tickets, as well as reservation to a hotel. (Station West Exit opening towards Studio Alta, called [vju:], recommended place :D )

From Shinjuku we took a train to Akihabara (shortened to Akiba), the mecca of technology an otakuness. (Otaku is a person who is obsessed or at least a hard core fan of something, often something nerdish. Like anime and manga - and just guess why I definitely wanted to go there?) We visited a store that was apparently a showroom of some studio and they also sold anime related stuff and had some cells from animation to view and screen showing various shows.
After that we descended to the streets, ate in 'Hesburger of Japan' - Mos Burger, tho it appears we were given the English menu that lacked the most interesting burgers. We saw many electronics stores selling everything from cables and circuits to game consoles and other stuff. And we found the multistore store of Animate. <3 First big shopping spree of the trip. I got me some phone accessories, few anime related cds, Suzumiya Haruhi tee and random fan stuff. And some manga I don't know how to read...

Later we went to karaoke that's located practically next to the ryokan and had good food and lots of fun. No matter that I can't really sing...
