Or at least Saturday was. I spend it with a friend from work, ad it turned out to be a really goo day.
I started with waking up early, posting in my RPs in Gaia, the usual, as many of you know. Then I decided I'd try the train connection to City Centre, since I hadn't yet. The scenery was pretty, the rails followed the Royal Canal for some time. And it was fast.
Then I met that friend, and we walked around for some time, until we ended to queue for the Unlimited movie card. Really neat offer, as many movies you wish to see, only 210 a year, or 17,50 a month. I started with two movies, The Departed (American version of Infernal Affairs) and Marie Antoinette. Other than that we chatted a lot, and ate well in Eddie Rockers, which after 2 visits I think is the best hamburer restaurant I have ever eaten in! Woolshed, the pub where a lot of people from work frequent is right next to the movie theater, and there was a farewell party of few people from work. (Well, I didn't know them, but I still paid a visit and found I like Bulmers, the cider people drink here. And no, I didn't buy a jug of it!)
The Departed
I really liked it. They had caught well the atmosphere of the original, and theplot had been made to fit in US, but otherwise it was pretty much intact. I really liked the actors, and the narration was more linear than in the original, so I think the plot was easier to follow. Actually I didn't remember it was the remake, but I realised it within few minutes! Good movie, even if the scenery in the roof scene wasn't at all as pretty. ;)
Marie Antoinette
Really beautiful movie, pleasant to watch. The plot was quite plain, and the big historical events where just the backround, not touching the characters. Kirsten Dunst is really a beautiful woman, and I loved her acting. The costumes and scenerey were abrolutely great. It was enjoyable, but not special, since the lacking of the plot. Still, I recmmend it as a movie one should see.
Heh, and soon I'm going to go to see Open Season with the flatmates. Lots of movies for me this weekend!
