so i was watching dr phil yesterday and there was this 19 year old girl with tattoos with her mom who hated her tattoos. the girl is basically me. dr phil and her mom are telling her how much of a mistake the tattoos are. and they show her an age progression picture of herself and her tattoos at age 60 or so and of course it looks kinda weird, maybe trashy, to see an old lady with tattoos like that. the girl was just like "well, i can wear a sweater."
now, i have a reasonable counter-argument to almost everything tattoo-wise and what i wanted to say is that while that 60 yr old woman looks weird to us in 2006, in 2046, older people (specifically women, because there are more older men with tattoos now) will be more common because so many more young women (and men) in 2006 are getting lots of tattoos. i think its a pretty flawless argument and if anyone has a response, i'd love to hear it.
