On Comms and Commissions
New Sherlock!
Enjoyed it quite a bit! The mystery was better than last week, but the overall snark was less squee-inducing. Entertainingly enough, my mom has been emailing me every day asking if there's a way for her to watch it yet. As my mom does not know how to torrent, I usually link her to some shady streaming site.
Anyway, halcyonjazz on twitter mentioned that Benedict Cumberbatch would be The. Best. Christopher Chant. Ever.
So I made some propaganda for it, as Chrestomanci could be an elected position by the year 2010. Yes. Maybe? No, not really, but it's still an awesome idea.
Now for some other things.
NOTE: I have not confirmed that this is actually what happened. The below is mostly speculation, but I'm reading it correctly, it is both hilarious and mortifying.
Sooo, Zeldyn was having a commission sale to fund her new tablet. I adore her artwork as she's a fantastic costume designer and has really amazing lineart. So one paypal transaction later and I'm excitedly (like, really excitedly; I've been checking my messages about once every hour) awaiting two inked drawings of my original characters.
Anyway, I should be next on the commission queue.
I woke up this morning to this tweet from Zeldyn, and hurried my butt over to her ustream.
Unfortunately, she's done streaming (wouldn't you love to see how someone else draws your characters? No? Just me then), but the chat from her last session is still up.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Because obviously, Lynx = Link, right? I mean, I made him up when I was thirteen and obsessed with Legend of Zelda. I didn't even make that much of an attempt to cover up the name. He's still modeled after him, after all, as much as I forget it. And, yes, I do forget it, because he's such a real character to me now that being thirteen and obsessed with Zelda feels like a decade ago. Which is was.

Royal Tenenbaums: How have I never seen this movie? I ADORE Wes Anderson, too. Anyway, I set out to rectify this last night and was not disappointed. As always, full of beautiful primary colors and awesome typography. This craving for Wes Anderson was triggered by the fake God of War movie trailer. Here you go.
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros - the song used in the trailer above. Jake gave me their album a while ago, but I can't get it out of my head.
Limbo - beautiful, beautiful 360 Arcade platformer. Trailer here Played the demo yesterday. Jake was less than impressed, but I was like "HOLYFUCKARTGAMEYEAH" And then Jake made me play Braid because I'd only played the demo.
That is all. I wonder if I can ever be active in things, and not just a creepy lurker. >.>
