Last night Andrew and I made a last minute decision to let Staralfur (my cat) come spend the night at Andrew's apartment. We've done this before and it stunk. He broke a glass and I didn't sleep at all. For some reason we decided to give it another shot. so we loaded him up in his cat carrier and through all the rain we got him inside Andrew's. He spent a good three to four hours under the bed and around 2 AM, woke me up. It's hard to sleep when a big eleven pound cat decides to sleep on your side. I laid there with him about thirty minutes thinking that this was going to be my wake up call. So I started wondering if I should take him back home. At first I wasn't going to because I knew it had been raining and also, I didn't want to walk down to visitors alone at 2:30 in the morning. It only took a few minutes before I got the guts and loaded him in his carrier and then, we were off.

The drive was nice because it had stopped raining and it was really pretty. Okay so, we get to my apartment and I unload my car, grab Star, and lock my car back. I get to my apartment walk in and turn the light on ... only to realize that I didn't unlock or open my door. It was already open, wide open as in up against the wall. So panicking, I go back out, shut my door and lock it. It takes forever for Andrew to answer his phone when he's asleep but I got him after three rings.

We decided I should call the cops. After talking to the operator she had told me police were on the way and for me to stay in my parking lot with my doors locked (duh). It was about ten minutes before the cops got there and they walked me through my apartment and nothing had been stolen. They think the wind had opened my door, apparently it had done it to many people and set off many alarms too. Thank goodness. I was still creeped out so I put Star in the apartment and had to come back to Andrew's. I'm so paranoid now though, after driving away from my apartment I had to come back just to make sure my door was still shut. I made it back to Andrew's by a little after 3 and didn't fall back to sleep until after 4. I'm so tired!! I can't wait to work eight hours today *sigh*.

Plus, Mates of State are playing tonight in OKC -- that sucks even more. I miss my OKC for real.
