and yea depending on the job, you should mildly mention the whole health issue in the cover letter to explain the gap. and like lithium pearl girl said, twist it into something positive and not so much pitiful.

did you win any prizes while in the hospital? like most behaved or something? cause then you can add that to the resume and have it in the gap of employment, and it kinda alludes to you having have spent time in the hospital in some vein. and then in the interview, they'll ask you about it, and then you go in the explanation and stuff. yea word.
