(no subject)
This weekend wasn't too bad, though I did have to work 9-5 on Sunday so it wasn't much of a weekend to begin with. We made a nice chicken, gnocchi & steamed green bean dinner on Friday night and just vegged and crashed. We slept in like lazy oafs on Saturday morning, and went for a nice long bikeride down to Andrew Haydon Park. Saturday night we went over to Lisa & Libby's and had a BBQ. On the way home we got into a slight altercation with a cracked out kid, so that provided some entertainment! As I said, Sunday I worked, and then we went to Chris' parents' place in Stittsville for a belated Father's Day dinner. I was slightly peeved because I didn't find out about this until noon on Sunday, and because of what went down last time we were over there. Last night wasn't so bad though. I've decided not to bite my tongue anymore. It is Chris' family, so obviously I am not going to be rude, but I am also not going to hide who I am around them anymore. Though I know that changing them is a lost cause, I am not going pretend that I want to live my life and run my family the way they run theirs. It just disgusts me that Greg and Katie are still stuck on their mom's tit. Hahaha...
We're thinking about planning a trip to Wasaga Beach for the August long weekend. My only issue is that I'm worried that it is going to be a huge drunk fest with a bunch of drugged up teenagers. I went to a place like this when I was 18, and there were advertisements on bristle board regarding which hard drug you could buy at which campsite. It was out of control! Awesome at the time, but being 5 years older makes me feel like I have grown out of that. It would be so great to have a nice, relaxing, party weekend with people my age, and I am paranoid that that isn't how it works at this particular campground. So we'll see.
As of right now I have a total of 20 hours left at the Metropolitain. WOOHOO!!!!
