[stepping quietly into the library, Kid slides his hands into his pockets as he glances around slowly. after a few minutes of winding through the main library, he makes his way over to that section of the library. upon seeing Maka, he pauses for a moment, before clearing his throat and raising his voice.]

... Maka.

[looks up from her book at hearing her name]

--ah, Kid! Hi.

I haven't seen you around recently.

I've been trying to stay out of the way, for the most part.

... I can't say I haven't been doing the same.

[takes a step over and pulls out a chair, sitting down.]

[closes her book]

There isn't much else to do.

With the ways things are now, yeah.

...you know Medusa is here?

... I'd sensed a few things in passing. Dr. Stein confirmed it for me last weekend, though.

I saw her a few weeks ago. She's here to give campers direction, apparently.

She was offering people advice for their futures.

... whoever hired her has a sick sense of humor.
