What facts don't I have? Just because someone has offered to buy your system doesn't make it good. The point is that compared to what else is out there, the Xbox is shit low on the list.
If the Xbox was a good as it's hyped up to be(or as you make it out to be) then its games would sell as a reflection of that. You have to agree with that. Also, every perk you mentioned about your system other than its ability to play Xbox games(full-fledged media center, can run Gentoo Linux, etc..) sounds just like any old PC. So what's the payoff? If you'd say something like you enjoy modifying the console as a hobby of some sort, which I'm sure is the case, I'd be less reluctant to criticize. I don't really see how my argument about the games released for the system has been disproven.
Xbox controllers are still huge. This point was more or less some sarcasm, which you are so set on teaching me about.
I wasn't aware of Metal Slug on the Xbox. Can't disagree with you there.
The bottom line is that my post was more of an insult the the console than to your modifying it. I myself wouldn't go out of my way to modify a video game system, just like I wouldn't modify a car, I just don't see the payoff. It's a waste of time/money. But that's just me. Xbox still sucks, especially compared to the other current consoles available, and I don't think you can deny that.

First off, I can't believe you are reduced to correcting punctuation. Since we're being stupid homos, I'll point one out, too.
"The bottom line is that my post was more of an insult THE THE console that to your modifying it."
The last time I checked, brotha, 'the the' is incredibly poor grammar. I'm incredibly sorry to hear that you feel you are losing this rediculous arguEment. Is chceking for spelling mistakes really your last line of defence in an arguEment that you have failed to keep up with?
SO:
Commercially, yes, the xbox has a ways to go. HOWEVER, any old PC would be incredibly shitty to bring anywhere at the drop of a hat. Not to mention, 'any old PC' with high enough specs which would be able to perform the range of functions available on the modded xbox would not be as cost effective as buying an xbox. find me a similar-ranged pc for anywhere near the same cost. additionally, the benefits of running home-dev code on the xbox should be clear as day. with 'any old pc', god knows what kind of hardware you would be running. how are you supposed to optimize code for something that can be made up of a rediculous amount of hardware config permutations? when using an xbox, the code written for it is also being written for specific hardware, and you get increased compatibility, and more success with fixing problems. It's not like I'm going to go buy a Mac Mini. You try writing code for six million different configurations, and then tell me that the XBOX (a fully x86 based system), available in only one flavor, wouldn't be a THOUSAND times easier to deal with?
I believe that YOU just can't see the forest for the trees. You picked a stupid area on which to argue with me. I'm know what the fuck I'm talking about. Any examples to back up your claims has been entirely SUBJECTIVE. You haven't given me any concrete details aside from useless statistics based on what the average idiot plays. The average idiot also watches American Idol. Give me a fucking break. It would be entirely different if you had given me any intelligent evidence of xbox suckage.
It's a waste of money/time to you, yes. Guess who I'm not. Maybe any Xbox you have used was a piece of shit. A regular one would be. What a waste of G/CPU. You can't put 128 megs of ram into a 486 and expect it to render anything past SNES. Xbox doesn't even have 128. It has 64. That would do a sweet lotta nothin' in a desktop.
You are lame, naive, presumptuous, and overly cocky. You argue like a dairy farmer.
