I haven't really cried yet, but I don't think that record is going to last for very long.

It isn't that I don't appreciate condolences, but I really wish people would stop apologizing about my dog. I don't like it. If you are going to say anything, a "sorry about your dog" will suffice. Thanks. I don't mind talking about it, I just dont like people telling me how sorry they are. I'm happy for him, and I'm happy that I helped him end his suffering. I loved him more than is even possible, and his euthanization was the only right thing to do. It would have been selfish to keep him around when he was suffering as much as he was. If you had seen him in his final days, with his constant sleeping and lack of interest in living and moving around, you would understand the way I do. I think he knew where he was going this morning, because for the first time ever, he let me pick him up.

And to Rocky: As neurotic and rediculously mean of a dog as you were, I wont miss you any less. Be a good little guy.

So again, please, save your over-heartfelt apologies. I'd appreciate that more.
