Lazy Wife Supper

Sep 14, 2010 00:20

We've been fighting the dreaded cold in our house, and the boy and I are definately under the weather.
This is our supper from night before last, when I was just flat out of inspiration or motivation.  Yummy!

Bacon Spinach Pasta
(feeds 4)

3 cups milk
2 cups frozen spinach, or to taste
1/2 to 1 cup or pack of bacon bits
(you can cook and crumble bacon, but that isn't lazy, lol)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese, like for spagetti
1-2 cups shredded cheese, your choice, to taste
3/4 to 1lb of long thin pasta
Pepper to taste
Garlic to taste
1 Chicken boullion

Set pasta on to boil.

Heat the milk, adding in the bouillion, garlic, spinach and cheeses.

Stir tiil cheese is melted and sauce is smooth (the parm might make this harder to achieve)

Season with pepper to taste, and adjust for cheesiness, thickness, ect.

Add in the bacon bits, starting with the smaller amount, and adjust to taste and saltiness.

Serve over the cooked pasta, with rolls on the side.

*I keep the spinach frozen (lazy, remember), and just throw it in; works out fine*

You could also use chopped ham or turkey, in place of bacon.

pasta, main dish, cheese, spinach, ham, turkey, bacon
