I have paint absolutely everywhere - we started painting the mediation room blue. Why cream wasn't good enough is beyond me. Oh well ...
Senior year is a quarter of the way finished. Applause! I don't tihnk I'll be stellar this report card - Low B+ in Calculus (but at least it's a B+!), 89.8 in Chem pending takehome test (so disappointed in myself. Who potentially gets a B+ in chem!), no idea in Law, but probably the B on our mock trial won't help matters. And I'm pretty sure I dropped in Physics, too. Well, I guess I'll just disappoint my parents some more.
I got confirmation on my U of M application the other day... just waiting until I hear from them. A little more than a month before I hear from Washington U, and my 18th birthday is two months from yesterday. I'm off to celebrate someone's birthday tonight, but it's a surprise and I can't say who!
I'm angry at Kansas and their intelligent design. An intelligent designer would make a much less flawed world.
Still working on my City Year Young Hero leader application ... I lost the questions, so I'm hoping they e-mail me back with them.
Oh, and yay for the police department. I was walking out of school today in a sweatshirt and a skirt, and two guys came over and walked next to me. One of them told me I was wearing a nice skirt and that he liked my shirt ... did I like green? I nodded, and kept walking. The other one said he should probably walk me to my car, would I like that? I didn't respond, and he said he'd take that as a yes. I stopped on the corner to wait for Mom to get me (I didn't drive today) and they said "Bye, cutie!" And they walked across the street, laughing and basically walking backwards while staring at me. The best part? A police officer was standing right across the street, having a conversation with someone, completely ignoring everything going on. It wasn't that big a deal at all, nothing happened or anything. I just thought it was ... odd. Slightly uncomfortable. Ah well.
