Tomorrow, I'm going into Cambridge with Dad. We'll eat lunch in Harvard Square, then I'll go off to an admissions thing at Harvard and Dad will head off to the MIT library. Then we'll meet back up, and go see Princess Mononoke at LSC! Woo! I need to find a college looking worthy outfit for tomorrow. Probably it will consist of one of my new purchases. I bought meself two new skirts and three new shirts. And that's my school shopping. Oh, I did invest in a messenger bag from LL Bean. I'll probably end up looking silly, like I try too hard, but oh well. I'm a senior now and that's my priveledge! I don't think I spelled privelege correctly, so I'll spell it the other way that I was thinking of, also, and be right one of the times perhaps.
Last night, Dad and I watched Control Room, all about propaganda and Al Jazeera. Scary shit, man. Eff. I really don't like being forced to question EVERYTHING that is in the news and that we hear from the government - it'd be nice if there was something trustworthy. But I don't think anything is. So if you want to indulge in "liberal paranoia" and learn why you should hate Rumsfeld and think for yourself, go watch Control Room. I also want to watch Gunner's Palace.
But I'm tired of being depressed about the state of the world's affairs. Sometime, I'll have to write down the official Erin's Bushmeat Spiel. It's impressive. But what it boils down to is that 5-15 years of chimpanzees in the wild. No more than that. And what are chimpanzees considered? Threatened, not endangered. Who's to blame for that? Biomedical facilities and the NIH.
