014 // PIE SHIIIIIIIFT
So... I've been thinking. I bake, right? And so, um. Right now it's kind of just - when I can get a bit of space in the oven, or when someone asks for something special. But I thought - I mean, this place could use a little more sweetness, I figure. It certainly couldn't hurt.
So I was wondering, what if I made this a regular thing? Pie-shift? Or dessert shift, I mean, that, too, although pie is really my thing. It wouldn't take long; maybe we could do some baking every Sunday afternoon, for the week's meals, that way we wouldn't be in the way of the staff. And if there's call for it, if that's not enough, we could bake on a weekday or two as well as long as it didn't interfere with the normal kitchen stuff.
I just, I really like baking, and people really like pie - everyone loves pie, right?
Anyway, I was just wondering, is that something you-all would like to see? Because if not, that's totally okay! I'll just, y'know, bake sporadically, whenever people ask for it.
And here's the other thing, I figure to make enough pie for everyone, I'd need maybe four, five people to regularly give me a hand. We could definitely have helpers, the more the merrier, but I'd definitely need a, um. Baking team, so to speak. People who can be depended on to show up as an assigned job. Assuming it becomes a real job. If you'd be interested in that sort of thing, let me know! Skill-level doesn't matter, it's more a work of heart than anything, so. Yes.
