(no subject)
So, it's time for a post, I suppose.
I got a job. At Dell, through a temp agency. Like most people. :0) I don't know when I start, because the company policy says you have to be 18 to work for them, and I won't be for another week. And then I have to wait for the next class after that. The job is ine, I just have to wait. A couple bad things about it, but mostly good.
+ Bambi and I are going out of town for my birthday. I'm glad I won't be starting until after it, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get time off to go.
+ Same shift as Bambi, which means I have a ride to and from work every day, so no worrying about that.
+ $12/hr. Fuck yea. :0)
- No health insurance. (The company that hired me is much smaller than Spherion, and to offer health insurance would lose them money.)
I think that's it about the job, mostly.
On the same day that I got hired, (Sep.27, last Monday) I got really sick. I had (still have, in fact) a giant swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck, a fever, stomach pains, a headache, and just general achiness. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and they tested me for strep and mono, but neither test was positive. He said that he thought it might still be mono, though. Just too early to tell, and if I was still sick in a few days to come back. Well, I was sick until Sunday. But Monday I started feeling better. So I didn't go back. But my throat got really sore around Saturday and it hasn't gone away. Plus, the painful swollen lymph node is still there. I guess we'll see. (Another good thing about having to wait to start at Dell was me getting so sick. I would have had to take that whole week off...)
I have a very temporary job right now at my aunt's office. I worked yesterday and today, and I'll be working all next week. They're paying me $9/hr. It's going to work out to be around $500. And I'm okay with that.
Next Sunday my mom and I are having a family get-together. For my birthday, and as kind of a housewarming.
Sunday night Matthew and I are leaving, and we'll be gone until Tuesday night. (And Tuesday, of course, is my birthday.)
I did finally get around to making that friends only journal I mentioned a couple posts back, but then I didn't like it, so I deleted it. I'll work on getting another one done in a few weeks, sometime after Matthew and I get back from San Antonio.
I think I'm pretty much done.
