I started working at the law firm again this week. It was a nice, touching welcome back, as I was almost instantly reintroduced to the paper shredder. Things haven't really changed at the firm, so I guess it's nice to always have that familiar feeling about how everything works. There were a few new faces, and I was disappointed to learn that Gayle, one of the "cooler" legal assistants, was no longer working there. But, overall, it's good to be back (and racking in some cash, for all the tedious and boring stuff I have to do).
I've also been to the Y recently, my feeble attempt to get into shape. It wasn't until I was dry coughing on the stairmaster exercise machine that I realized how terribly out of shape I am, so I am thinking (no promises here) of going four days a week instead of three. Imagine that. Near dedication on my part.
Math test tomorrow: limits. We get one side of a three-x-five notecard. I'm at the point where I can finally say, "That's so high school." I still can't get over when that girl from class said in response to the teacher's question about how to measure average velocity, "seconds over time." Yours truly about had a heart attack.
I played the role of gardener at the library yesterday. A volunteer and I weeded out the dead daffodils. Crouching for three consective hours can take its toll on you, quite seriously. I don't know why the library doesn't just hire a few lawn maintainance people to take care of all the gardening. It's not like I don't have things to do inside.
I feel like I have no time anymore, even for little things. I had to actually take time out of my schedule the other day to delete junk emails (able to get the inbox from over 500 down to under 100--I was quite proud). I just go to Calc every morning, go to work afterward, and then come home, do Calc homework--and I absolutely despise the Internet homework, do Chinese if I have time, and then go to bed. It's an unfortunate cycle. I almost wish something sporadic would happen.
This weekend I'll be in Ann Arbor, so I guess that's a good way to mix things up.
I'm trying, by the way, with rather great difficulty in keeping my paragraphs shorter and easier to read.
