dudes, i am thinking about a new camera. specifically, a point and shoot, since my trusty sony died a few months ago and my iphone just isn't a camera for all seasons.

so it's between these:
- panasonic lumix lx3 (expensive, but mmmm leica and it has a few quite sexy features and is brilliant in low light, though a shortish zoom)
- panasonic lumix tz6 (huge zoom but problems with replacement batteries and the loose mode wheel thing sounds irritating)
- canon ixus 100 is (wooo, tiny, but pretty unmanual and uncustomisable by the sounds of things -- you literally point and shoot, plus at that tiny size i worry that i will lose it)

just to clarify, i'm not keen on the canon powershot g9 or g10 -- they take stunning pix and are lovely cameras, no question, but they are bigger and heavier than i'd like. this needs to be handbag friendly .. seriously so .. because if i were going to tote something big and heavy, i'd take my d90.

have any of you tried any of these? or have any other suggestions? please do comment and feel free to retweet to your photographer friends (hang on, aren't we getting our social networking modes mixed up here?) .. xx
