stingray invasion

Jul 16, 2010 00:25

Today I woke up at 4:30am to swim at Seal Beach with my beach tribe of like 30 people. After dodging stingrays (and news crews covering the “stingray invasion”) we set out to the South Jetty. I am getting better at ins& outs in the ocean…the stingray thing makes it a little dicey though. The sun came up about then over the mountains while I was in the ocean and lit up the hundred or so pelicans sitting on the jetty. Beautiful day!!! Then breakfast with everyone at Crema.

Later me & Bob went to Laguna Beach where I met up at 8:30pm with another beach tribe to swim a night swim. Covered in glowsticks we set out to attract sharks as the sun set over the Laguna hills. We would count out every 10 min or so to make sure no one had been eaten by sharks. I was number 7. All lucky 13 of us survived.
Then me, bob, and Natalie went to Cheesecake factory for wine and amazing food in Newport Beach Fashion Island.

What a great day. I am exhausted.
