So I'm... 10 days into my new lifestyle and thought now would be a good time to look at how I feel, not just what I'm doing ( Read more... )

I remember the effects of giving up caffeine. I then went to Egypt and destroyed that. Maybe I should try cutting out the only remaining, caffeine of my with-breakfast tea?

Seriously though, I'm really, really glad you're feeling so positive. It's wonderful to see!

If it's something that you know is an issue for you, and you feel better without it, I'd make the effort to take it out again. I have managed to cut out coffee, but not tea. I may take some rooibos into work next week and see if that helps. With non-dairy milks it might be more pleasant to drink! :)

It's wonderful to BE more positive. :D

Massively happy for you. :) (Also, I'm having a minor, 'OMG I can eat this few calories AND feel happier and have more energy? Why did nobody tell me this before?' moment.)

It's very exciting when you get it *right*.

If anything, I'm eating the same or slightly more calories, but because they're coming from foods that my body can digest and utilise more efficiently, and because generally speaking they're coming from super-healthy sources, coupled with a variety of supplements to even out my blood sugar and my hormones, and my metabolism seems to have gone into hyperdrive. I've lost 8lbs since last Tuesday morning, and that's despite the fact nothing moved from day 3-6!

"Ever think about making positive changes in your life? I don't."

It's good to catch up with you digitally and see how well you're doing. Inspiring.

(How's it going with Belial?)

It feels pretty awesome. I'm not quite used to it though and keep expecting my mood to crash. I think it's possibly not as "woooohoooooo" as earlier in the week, but still pretty good, and I'm generally less irritable and more laid back. It's all good. :)

I think I was just ready to change. I'd already seen what a difference food could make to my mum (she's dealing with asthma after a chest infection), so I think my mind was very open to the possibility that changing the way I ate could change the way I felt, I just had no idea it would be this good!

Belial is now dead. I went back, re-read some guides on how to take him out, and played the long game (running around dodging whilst your companions do most of the damage). I still died a couple of times but I got him in the end. :D

I'm really pleased with the results you've got from seeing the nutritionist... I might look in to that.
I know I don't get nearly any exercise but even when I was walking to working and being all healthy I still didn't lose anything.
Maybe it will help me shift something... I get so down when there's no response to my efforts.

I'd genuinely recommend it. Mine is lovely and I would recommend her in s heartbeat but she is based in clevedon and I don't know how easy that would be for you to get to.

Obviously the key is to find what works for you, but cutting wheat and dairy has made a *massive* difference to me and my mum so may help you too. Give it a try for a couple of weeks - you've nothing to lose!
