It's been forever since I've written in this thing. I'm almost done with fall semester and I can't wait for it to be over! I have so much stuff to do in the next couple of weeks that it's ridiculous. Needless to say I'll be happy when mid-December rolls around. I registered for my last semester of college classes a week or so ago. How scary is that?!? Now granted I won't graduate in April because I'll still have to student teach but registering for student teaching doesn't really count. I only have class 2 days a week next semester which should be interesting. It means that I'll be able to work 2 full days and then spend the other day observing in a classroom for my last field experience class (they're so stupid!). In just over a year I'll be graduated! I don't even want to think about that yet.
I'm working on campus right now. I started working in the Office of Academic Programming at the beginning of last school year and I'm still here. It's pretty cool. Half of the time I pretty much get paid and don't do much (hence the reason I'm updating my journal while I'm at work) but even when I do have to work it's fun. I like the people I work with which is always a good thing. Plus, work involves typing, copying, filing, etc. so it's pretty easy. I like that it's on campus so I don't have to drive anywhere. Instead, I can just walk here either before or after class depending on the day. Over Christmas I'll be at home working at the Palace and I'll be working with Heidi at Gymboree. I pretty much got a job before I filled out the application. Yesterday was my first day there. It wasn't bad. I only ended up staying for 3 hours because it was really slow so they sent me home and while I was there I was filling stuff in from the back room. It will be a nice extra paycheck over the holidays.
I'm living in Ann Arbor this year which has been different because I have to drive to school every day rather than walk. It's not like it's a far drive but it defintely means that I have to make sure I leave the apartment on time or I won't make it to class (can't really avoid traffic just because I'm late :-P). It's been fun living with Heidi and my other roommates (Chrissy and Brandon) are fun. Plus, we have really cool neighbors who come over and visit all the time. I have a feeling they're going to overtake my apartment tomorrow to watch the Michigan v. Ohio State game (our tv is bigger). That's fine with me because all of my roommates will be in Columbus at the game because they're all in U of M's marching band.
All right, it's about time to go home from work. :) Yeah for Fridays. Maybe I'll try and update this journal more than once every couple months. LOL. That's all for now. :)
