Yay! Teaching Job!
Today I was hired by Performing Arts Studios as a Instructor/Director. This is exciting because it goes on my resume as a teaching job, and it is directly linked to my degree. It is only a few hours a week, and will only act as a minor part time job BUT FUCKING SWEET STILL.
What I really like about this job is I can finally say I know what my hourly worth is as an instructor and will use it as a guideline for all future work.
I do not start until October 7th, but I am very much excited. The person I met with today was one of the heads of the school and was very impressed with some of the movement instructors I have worked under and is excited to see some of my exercises.
I think this will be a strong basis for what I wish to do in the future. I eventually would like to teach private lessons for young actors, and having this under my belt will help people take me more seriously.
