[Marron stops and sighs, running his fingers through his hair.]

Well, I don't want to be here at midnight. We should probably start heading back down.

[How hard can it be? There's only one direction.]

[He turns to start heading that way when he hears something. For a moment, he pauses before continuing on.]

[Gateau follows, but slower. There's something bothering him about the scenery, and he stops for a moment to gaze at it.]

Marron? I believe things are moving. [Not animals. Not even monsters. The trees and bushes are shifting, creating walls as they go.]

I was noticing that.

[He stops and looks around.]

Apparently we aren't meant to go this way.

What tipped you off? Is it the giant hedge growing across the path?

Actually it was the noise before the giant hedge appeared.

[And in he goes, breaking off branches and tossing them aside.]

[Marron looks at Gateau with amusement but stands out of the way.]

[At first, it looks like it might. Then the hedge starts growing in around Gateau.]

[Marron just shakes his head and throws several ofuda at the plant to halt it long enough for Gateau to pull away.]
