your formatting/html code is totally screwy in a way that totally f*cks with my friends page in a way I've never seen before: read:overlapping friends posts.

i've always come across rockabilly / psychobilly girls who are really vain (although that sounds a bit harsher than it actually is). they're really 'leet--like, the fact that i listen to a lot of punk doesn't make me rockabilly enough to be on a certain forum / be at a certain show.

besides that, they have a really traditional role, because the roots of the music are really traditional. they put a lot of effort into how they look (which is usually drop-dead-gore-geous), but also usually sit at home / cook / clean. i don't think there's really anythin right or wrong with that though--it's just part of the subculture. granted, that doens't mean they're stay at home mom's--they're really crafty, DIY, and independant.

that good??

Wow, from your first paragraph, I'd have guessed you lived on the west coast. Then I remembered you live right down I-91 from me. I guess around CT and New England in general, I have almost the exact opposite experience than you do. The people and shows around here tend to be some of the LEAST vain and "elite" of any so-called scene I've had contact with. Do you even come out to any rockabilly/psychobilly shows around here?

Most of the girls I know would have serious issues with your cooking/cleaning assessment as well...

♥ east coast. rocky hill connecticut, actually. you were right.

but yeah--aside from go kat go! radio, i don't think we have much of a psychobilly scene--or at least that i've scene. i've gone to shows in MA and NY, but only one or two around here. i was basing those judgements on the girls i've met at those shows, and met on online communities (although i'm sure that doesn't say very much, huh?) and i agree--they're much less elite than the kids from CTSka, but still... i dunno, maybe i'm just getting used to punk kids too much. the ones around us don't give a shit who you are, as long as you want to have fun. correct me if i'm wrong??
