But Snow Patrol was no joking matter.
Well, they're funny and so were Ok Go and Silversun Pickups, but all three of them rocked!
I can't express how much I love Snow Patrol. Silversun Pickups who I missed the first night, weren't bad at all. Certainly worth looking into (or listening), and great stage presence. Great sense of humor. I had such blast the first night, after which me and my lj-less friend headed over to Stitch to the after party along with
lightstarangel and
vejgurl.
And on the second night, I noticed how much I liked OK GO ...And Damian's butt (from Ok Go - i think that's the lead singers name). Much to
vejgurl's amusement, I couldn't help but continue to comment on just how nice of a butt he has =P
Anyway, Snow Patrol. The first night was great. I dunno what happened but the second night was AWESOME! Everyone seemed that much happier, the jokes a little funnier, the crowd a little livelier. All in all I have to say we rocked out! And I have to thank
vejgurl for making it all possible. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have went a second night and I really would have missed out. Thanks, love! You save my ass from a sound kicking (from my own legs!)
Back to Ok Go. I knew of them before, but they converted me by playing a great set (supposedly not so great in the past *shrug*) ...and Damian's butt sure didn't hurt. Yes, I'm making a point.
Also, I'm not sure why, but from the angle that we were at the second night, he managed to look a LOT like Cillian Murphy. Cillian Murphy is way hotter in my opinion (in a you're cute yet creepy not-so-sure-i-want-you-that-close sorta way). And I wasn't alone in noticing that resemblance. Weird yet pleasant surprise.
Ok, enough about that.
sucking on both ends. But it's work. And THANK GOD I have it. Both jobs have been nothing but drama lately. I totally didn't think I would end up with full time status at the new place (it's still iffy-ish) but it looks like it may happen. And this is after much worrying about whether or not I'd have a job at all. So yea, i'm pleased. Hate the job, love the benefits (if they ever kick in).
As for the part-time job I've been at, the boss's wife is driving me crazy! She's so damn nit-picky! And aggravating as hell, and she doesn't like me and thinks she can pick on me, and BOY is she gonna get her ass kicked one day. One of these days I'm just going to get up and leave as she's talking to me ...and i'm going to make sure her husband knows EXACTLY why I left. Talk about annoying. But again, it's an extra income and it helps out a lot. So until something else comes up...
So I may have given my number to a supervisor at work. I'm not sure in what respect it was asked for, cuz it all happened in a such a flurry that I didn't realize what I did till after it was done. He's one of my supervisors (sort of). He works in my department but he's usually too damn busy to bother us (unless we screwed something up really badly and then he hunts us down to find out what happened exactly). Regardless, I believe there was flirting involved and a number passed, and he hasn't called, but I have a feeling he will ...and a bad feeling about messing with someone at work.
I know, I know! It's SUCH a bad idea, which I know from personal experience, but I also know myself and if he calls I won't say no. He's cute. And he's affectionate. And I liked him from day one (not liked liked, but you know, had that flirty feeling). And we mesh well (if you guys get what i mean by that).
Eh, it's also possible he won't call, or that if he does it won't be for anything that's headed in the direction that I'm sensing.
Let's see. What else.
noorie, I miss you. Don't know why really, I mean we just said hi to each other (and then you scuttled off) but I do. Maybe a phone call is due sometime this week? Lemme know when.
Oh, you guys (those of you that haven't, and that I didn't email) should totally check out Goodreads.com
I can't remember if I posted about this before, but it's cool. Well, the site needs tweaking for sure. But you join and invite your friends to friend you and you can see a list of what they've read/are reading and visa versa. I'm there. I haven't even begun to list HALF the books i've read, and really it'll never happen. But I'm listing what I readily remember and what I'm currently reading (or am about to start) and it's interesting to see what my friends read and what they think of it. You can comment on books, rate them, start conversations on them, or just list them. You can also import a list (if you already have one), i think. Like I said, the site needs tweaking.
Another stupid idea, cuz now I'm broke again, and there's really no way I can read that many books at once, so it was probably not necessary to buy them all at once ...and that's probably the longest run-on sentence i've managed so far. But I got a really awesome bag! Which I would take a picture of and post but my camera is deaders. But here's the image from their site:
I need to buy a new charger (OH!
vampboy, if you see this would leave the charger around so I can come by and grab it today. I need to upload some stuff for Eddie so I can email him. Thanks!)
There was some other stuffs, but I can't remember. I'm a little lightheaded and jittery. I think it's cuz I'm exhausted and over-caffeinated. Bad combination. My body doesn't know if it wants to sleep or start running. It's such a weird feeling. Annnnnd now I'm a little nauseous. Yuck.
