That Book Meme Going Around

Kirk heard everything the Captain said, but a part of him had been brought to a halt by what Pike had mentioned earlier.
"Excuse me, sir -- I'm not sure I heard you right. Did you say onto the drill? Meaning what?
This is, of course, from Star Trek. This exchange was not in the movie. But it does speak to Pike's noble and heroic nature.
And yes, this really is on the top of the books stacked next to me.
