Yesterday I was longboarding down to Seward Park with my man Christian. Lately I've been taking significantly bigger hills and challenging myself to go faster. So yesterday I attempted the largest hill I've ever gone down, and I didn't succeed.
The first part of the hill was fine. I was carving back and forth, then I straightened out to gain speed. I got up to about 20 mph and then I started getting speed wobbles. The speed wobbles became so violent I was thrown off the board and down the hill. Christian called the paramedics and I was taken to Harborview.
I didn't break any bones which is a fuggn MIRACLE. But I have a gash in the back of my head that needed stapling and multliple scabs along with a scraped eye and a swollen upper lip. No Rowland studio photos for me anytime soon.
I apologize for missing any shows or not picking up calls. Talking hurts right now.
