...was effing cold, where f stands for freaking fbelow freezing. meaning it was roughly 25f when i had to leave for work, so even wearing turtleneck/underarmor/pullover/hoodie and lined gloves, i could barely feel my fingers by the time my car had transformed enough from a popsicle that i could drive it without feeling like i was going to die.
side note: you would think, since wearing two pairs of pants is generally warmer than one, and leggings are kind of like pseudopants, wearing leggings under work pants for extra warmth (since work pants generally don't have room for an underlater) would actually work. this is, however, untrue (possibly requiring lined leggings/different material?) what actually happens is the leggings are warmer than no pants at all, but once you add pants over it, all your residual body heat is transferred to the overpants and away from your body, leaving you cold.
or maybe it's just me. in any case, warm legs fail. =(
once at work and defrosted, i noticed i'd been humming yellow submarine for like a half hour. where it came from i do not know.
on the bright side, my giant now has starbucks peppermint mocha ice cream stocked AND its on sale :D hoorah.
