You know how people are always going on about reoccurring dreams, like how they're falling off a cliff or mountain or black hole, etc in their dreams, but they always wake up before they're killed? Supposedly, those dreams mean you're really stressed or something (big whoopee-what else does stress NOT do?) like i read in Newsweek once. Well, I don't get any of those - my reoccuring dream always involves my little dream self missing the bus.
It doesn't matter where i am in the dream- in front of my house, in front of the school, etc...i can't tell you HOW many times i've dreamt feeling incredibly panicked and rushed, knowing that any second the bus will drive away without me, leaving me all abandoned and cold (because this IS New York, after all).
Well, today, it actually happened, real life. It was scarily like deja vu...i went home on the bus today because the bus for my swim meet at Westlake wasn't coming until 3:45. When we drove into the school (you know what I mean), i could see the swimming bus (once again...you know what i mean) ahead. I was about five minutes late, so i was praying that the bus wouldn't leave as soon as I got there. Do you know how scary it feels when you want to do anything you can to stop something from happening, but the best you can do is to sit there and send telepathic messages? Well, of course, the second my mom pulls past that weird Husker RIP gravestone* , the bus started to pull away. Oh, my god. It was so completely weird i can't explain it...i know i sound like a complete babbling idiot but deal with me...it was like what Wudan said in English class during that creepy Matrix discussion, about how she used to think that dreaming was actually real life, and waking up was actually a dream.
*that's what it looks like, anyway...
Maybe I just need to see a psychiatrist.
You know what, i'm just going to erase this entry later, because it makes completely no sense.
SPEAKING OF DREAMS, THIS IS HILARIOUS:
(Ali and Kristin talking about studying for the math test last night)
Ali: "Last night, I had a dream about radicals..."
And you're wrong, Wudan! We are being completely brainwashed in English this year, too. (It's not like i'm saying this in an accusatory tone--i mean, English IS brainwashing, if you think about it.) Except this year, it's not the government that's out to get us. It's SOCIETY!
