H'okay. So. Revolution is my favouritest thing of ever to study. Ever. Just. All the forces at work. The tensions between reform and reaction, radical, moderate, conservative, tyranny and liberty, violence and the public good. They're so potent, so unresolved, and they always will be, and they were expressed just so. Guh, you have such a way with words. If I were to pull out examples, I'd be quoting your whole damn assignment. The details were brilliant - the paper, the cravat, April violets, implied incest (!), and you are some writer, Emily. This is nothing short of. Guh. Someone should write an incesty novel about the French Revolution. I think you should (next year's NaNoWriMo...?). ♥
:D Revolutions are the effing bestest. I think the French Revolution is my very favourite, though. Although I almost wrote this about the American Revolution. But then I thought, Wtf, there is a lamentable lack of guillotines, in that case. ;D
Yaye, I am glad you like the Revolutionary Thing for English! Though, you actually had a lot of influence on this. Because I was so going to write about some Enjolras-esque youngun person, but then I was like, Hm, a Radical Dude with a Convenient (and Moderate!) Daughter sounds fun. :) And um, well, let's face it. I'll, uh, never be as Madly Skilled as one Vee Em Bell, but I can at least aspire to that. *g* ♥!
Sigh. Honestly, I should probably be a Leftist, except lolol I don't agree with most of what that entails. Although I must confess my fondness for the Lofty Ideals. But the Left is Definitely Sexy, for in my wanderings across the internets I did find a particularly fine picture of John Edwards. He is. So, so gorgeous. Why must all the Rightists be crusty elderly white men
( ... )
Yo, the American Revolution was so boring. We spilled tea, the French spilled blood - no competition there!
Mmm, the Revolution is one of my most favourite of muses. It hath inspired many a piece of writing, although their quality is debatable. ;D
The Left is indeed sexy! I mean, we have Barack Obama, RFK, JFK, Bill Clinton before he got wrinkly and plump, Jon Stewart (guhhh), and JOHN EDWARDS HOMG THAT MAN IS SO PRETTY. ♥
Hee, I shall have to listen to this cracktastic musics! :DDD
