I think I've had the best birthday yet! All I can say about thirty-three is - so far so good! I spent Saturday night at Centennial Park with lots of old friends and some new friends, dancing the night away to the big band sounds of Radio Daze. I danced a good 2/3 of the night and somehow walked away without even doing one foxtrot! I'm not sure how that happened. But the best dance of the night came when Dana got me on the floor for a swing dance. Swing is his specialty. He's been wrapped up in that scene for 10 years and it shows. He pulled me across that dancefloor in ways I didn't know a person could move! He rocks my world. Afterwards a group of us went to The Acorn for drinks and then I took Dana home and we spent the next hour admiring the amazing view from his deck. Nothing like ending the night with a bit of beauty!
The rest of the weekend was quiet. I indulged in a few foods I don't normally eat, but balanced it out with so much activity which included exploring the new greenway near my home. I've been looking to move my run training outdoors as I feel it's pretty ineffective on the treadmill and this trail looks like it's going to be a dream to work on!
I got to bed early on Sunday knowing that I still have a few post birthday activities to go this week. Hope ya'll are having a wonderful week!
