Happy V-Day to my lovely peeps! Virtual hugs and kisses (no tongue, sorry) to you!

I don't really have a Valentine today, but it's still a great day to express love to people I care about. And of course it's a great excuse to pamper myself.

I woke up and spent some quality "me" time before rolling out of bed and making bellinis for breakfast. I put on red and snapped on my "spin-the-bottle" pin where anyone can give it a spin and win some lovely prizes such as a short massage, some words to make them blush, a tickle or a love song.

I called my Mom to wish her happy V-day and she told me that Dad hadn't done anything for her so far. So I called Daddy to find out how his day has gone so far and remind him to get her a little something. It went something like this:

Daddy: Oh, well I got her waffles.
Me: Waffles?
Daddy: Yeah we went out for breakfast and I got her big belgium waffles.
Me: I was thinking something more girly. She likes girly things.
Daddy: The waffles had berries on them. Raspberries. That's kinda girly.
Me: No Daddy, that will not do. Waffles are not an acceptable romantic gift unless they're served in bed and have a big fat jeweled something-or-other on the side.
Daddy: So, no waffles, eh?
Me: Waffles are a lovely compliment to whatever girly thing you will get her.

My mother should love me more. I am solely responsible for him remembering to get her things (and always things that she wants).

Tonight I have a massage planned, a workout at the gym, a pedicure and a lovely bottle of red wine waiting for me when I get home.

I bought a few little gifties and wrapped up some cookies from Cookie Sunday to pass out so I'm off to play V-day princess....
