distracted looking at signed song on youtube...
st0rmfx is still one of my favorites -i like their style. also in asl,
Captainl0ver has good style, and i've enjoyed some of their interpretations. and
jeremy neiderer. and
xcrippledhope's video are not as slick, nor they so easy with themselves, but there's something about them i like (and relate to), and their choice of songs include some i like which draws me. i also enjoyed
this video for 'barbie girl' - they looked like they had some fun making it, and that they'd put quite a bit of creative thought into it.
in the past couple of weeks i've consolidated my knowledge of the asl manual alphabet, in which i feel fairly confident-in-a-very-much-a-beginner-way for the minute... and learnt a little sign (notably 'lazy' and 'cop'... and a few questions)... learning just enough to confuse myself really - some of the same signs meaning the same thing in bsl and asl... and some of the same signs meaning quite different things in the two sign languages =smile shrug= getting very little exercise generally in any language other than spoken english, i forget a lot of vocabulary, and am prone to muddling 'similar' languages - right now i have a similar feeling about my grasp of, and confusion between, asl and bsl as i do about french and romanian. i think it'll ease up and bsl will dominate if i don't get further immersed in asl, right now it's the more new and immediate dominating over the 'rusty' but reasonable. and i know from past experience that a bit of use/practice is usually sufficient to revive and develop any language skills i have... that, and i enjoy communication, and usually find a way...
so, back over in bsl,
howard's signed songs are nice. i like
BenGee143's use of himself =smile= and found some amusement in some of
DUCKINGquackers's videos. and look!
the spiderman theme in bsl, signed by a spiderman! =grin=
a playlist containing some of the above, and others is
here.
femme_gimp - can you remember to whom, and what/why i was talking about
charlie swinbourne's videos?
'four deaf yorkshiremen' and
'coming out'? (o! and you might like to check out
'9 to 5' in bsl =smile=)
