HEEEEEE.

I was sort of insanely disappointed because of course it was the big fandom and not one of my little book ones

HAHA. I was just thinking the other day about how next year I need to restrict myself to only the IMPOSSIBLY SMALL FANDOMS so I'll be sure to get one of them.

one of the things you mentioned wanting in your letter was a fic about the night that Kat came to steal the Monet and I LOVED that idea

WELL, this was pretty much exactly what I wanted because I wanted how they became friends, which obviously the Monet is part of but THIIIIIIS. This is what I wanted. So yay!

She was right, but can you really ever say that Hale is hot too many times? I think not.

The answer to this is no, OBVIOUSLY. I LOVE HALE TOO.

Ugh, so you have no idea the amount of research I did for this one little street name reference. Ally Carter doesn't pinpoint where Uncle Eddie lives AT ALL, so I sort of decided it would be near Columbia? Don't tell me if I got it wrong, I don't want to know. I looked at street level google maps, people. I never do that. And all for a goddamn street name that I already knew.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I died reading this, I didn't even think about it being close to where Uncle Eddie lived. Mostly because when I read this, I pictured the part of Broadway that I know really well, which is the Union Square/Flatiron area. I remember Ally Carter said Uncle Eddie lived in a brownstone though, so Columbia/UWS could work! Also, Brooklyn.

I imagine that started early, even when he had no actual business touching her.

YES. Also, to keep her a little off guard. Hale is creative like that.

"Making a new friend seems like a small price to pay for me not calling the police about the attempted theft of my mother's favorite Monet. But it's up to you, Kat."

I JUST NEED TO COMMENT ON THIS. Because, really. HAAAAAALE.

There had better be so many makeouts in Heist 3: The Big Book of Shirtless Hale. We all deserve them.

RIGHT? When is that coming out, anyway? I NEED IT IN MY LIFE.

I like the last line a lot!

Anyway, yayyyyy! Thank you! For the fic and the commentary :D

I KNEW PEOPLE WOULDN'T GET WHAT I MEANT BY THAT, I KNEW IT. I strongly considered using Riverside Drive, but it didn't look like there was as much street-level retail to make random coffee shop stopping a thing.

NO ONE KNOWS WHEN IT'S OUT. She just turned the book in like, two weeks ago, so it all depends on how long editing takes, I guess.

I'M STILL SO PLEASED YOU LIKED THIS, ETC, ETC.
