Lana rushed into the study at Wyndemere apologizing profusely. “I’m so sorry I’m late,” she babbled. “My parents got called to the hospital and I had to give Matt a ride to his baseball game and -”

Molly laughed and held up a hand to cut her off. “It’s fine. We haven’t even gotten started with the wedding plans yet.”

Lana looked around the room and saw that Alexis, Elizabeth, Kristina, and Audrey were all nodding their agreement. She let out a sigh of relief and flopped down onto the couch next to Molly. “Thank goodness.”

Elizabeth poured a glass of water and passed it across the room to Lana. “Here, you look like you could use this.”

Lana accepted the glass and took a long drink. “Thanks.” She eyed the entirely female make up of the room. “None of the interested male parties are going to be helping us with this?”

Alexis raised an eyebrow, eyeing Lana over the rim of her glasses. “Do we look stupid?”

“Shouldn’t Cam at the very least be here?” Lana protested. “It’s his wedding too.”

“He went to the board meeting at the hospital with Nikolas,” Molly explained. “It’s fine.” She grinned. “Besides, it’ll be fun to torment him later and make him think that I really did want an entirely pink wedding.”

Audrey looked disappointed. “But I like pink!”

“Yes, but its Molly’s wedding, sweetheart,” Elizabeth said gently to her daughter. “She’s pretty much going to get whatever she wants.”

“I’m going to get whatever I want?” Molly gasped. “I should get married more often.”

Kristina rolled her eyes at her sister. “As if you didn’t get whatever you wanted all the time anyway…”

Molly hit Kristina with a pillow. “Dork!”

“Brat!” Kristina returned, hitting Molly back.

“Girls…” Alexis warned sharply. She looked over at Elizabeth apologetically. “They’re in the same room so infrequently these days that it’s like they have to savor every chance they get to squabble like they’re still teenagers fighting over who’s been in the bathroom longer.”

Elizabeth laughed. “Cameron and Jake are exactly the same way.” She looked across the room at Lana and asked casually, “Speaking of my other son, anything you want to tell us?”

“No?!” Lana squeaked, looking over at Molly for help.

Molly took pity on her best friend. “Should we maybe get started on the planning since that’s really why we’re all here?”

“I suppose,” Elizabeth sighed. “I’ll just have to torture it out of Jake later, then.”

“So have you and Cameron decided anything with regards to the wedding?” Alexis asked. “Date, where you’d like to have it, things like that?”

Molly nodded. “We don’t want to get married till after I graduate, so next summer at the earliest, though we were thinking fall instead.” She looked over at Elizabeth and smiled hopefully. “As for where we want to get married, we were hoping that you and Nikolas would let us have the wedding here in the ballroom.”

Elizabeth beamed. “Nothing would make us happier, I assure you.” She reached over to squeeze Molly’s hand. “We weren’t going to push it or anything, but both of us were hoping you’d want that.”

Molly smiled back and squeezed her future mother-in-law’s hand back. “Thank you, Elizabeth. That means a lot to me. To us.”

“It is our pleasure,” Elizabeth assured.

Alexis flipped through the datebook on her PDA. “Well, since you’re going to have the wedding here, I’m sure you could basically pick whatever date you want for the wedding.”

“Let me talk that over with Cameron some more,” Molly said. “If there’s one thing he actually does need to give me input on, it’s that, right?”

The women all laughed.

Kristina picked up one of the bridal magazines that were strewn across the coffee table in front of her, and started flipping through it. “You’re not going to make us wear hideous dresses are you?”

“Who is in the bridal party anyway?” Elizabeth asked curiously. “Have you guys decided?”

“Well…” Molly started. “We haven’t actually asked everyone yet, but yes.”

Alexis raised an eyebrow. “Please, daughter, fill us in.”

Molly wrapped her arm around Lana’s shoulders. “Lana’s going to be my maid of honor, and” she wrapped her other arm around Kristina’s shoulders, “Krissy, here is going to be one of the bridesmaids.”

Kristina shrugged the arm off her shoulders, poking Molly in the ribs. “I’ll reconsider agreeing to that if you keep calling me Krissy,” she threatened.

Molly poked her back. “You wouldn’t dare.” She looked over at Alexis sheepishly. “Sorry Mom, we’ll behave.”

“I’ve given up on ever expecting that,” Alexis sighed resignedly. “Is that it? Just Lana and Kristina?”

Molly shook her head. “No.” She smiled over at Audrey. “We were hoping that Audrey would also be one of the bridesmaids. What do you say?”

“Really?!” Audrey squealed excitedly. She jumped up out of her seat and dashed around the table to throw herself at Molly, hugging her tightly. “Yes, yes, yes!”

Molly hugged her back and laughed a little at the reaction. “That’s what we were hoping you’d say.”

“Audrey, why don’t you let Molly breathe now?” Elizabeth suggested with amusement in her voice.

“Okay,” Audrey said, letting go of Molly and returning to her seat.

“What about the men?” Elizabeth asked. “Has my son decided on that?”

Molly nodded. “The last time we talked about it Jake was going to be his best man, and Spencer and Morgan were going to be his groomsmen.” She shrugged her shoulders delicately and spread her hands out. “As for whether he’s asked any of them, well your guess is as good as mine.”

“Molly,” Lana said hesitantly.

“What?” Molly turned to Lana.

“What about Gia?” Lana asked. “I mean, you included all the rest of your siblings, but not her…”

Molly bit her lip. “You know, you’re right. I wasn’t sure what to do. If we get married next fall she’ll only be twelve, and that’s too young to be a bridesmaid isn’t it?”

“Not necessarily,” Elizabeth spoke up. “I think Lana’s got a good point, actually. You don’t want to leave her out.”

“No, of course not!” Molly exclaimed. “She’s Cam’s sister too, she should be a part of it. I’ll talk to him. We’ll figure something out.”

“Good,” Lana sighed. “That’s a relief. That girls princess streak is a mile wide.”

The women all laughed again.

“So changing the subject…Lana and Jake as maid of honor and best man, hm?” Kristina smirked. “Convenient, huh, Lan?”

“Hit her with the pillow again, please,” Lana requested, throwing Kristina a dirty look.

Kristina laughed, and reached around Molly to awkwardly pat Lana on the shoulder. “There, there. We’ll all be doing this for you soon enough, I’m sure.”

Lana flushed scarlet. “Shut up!”

Elizabeth tried not to look eager. “What’s this?”

Lana grabbed a pillow and covered her face with it. “Nothing, it’s nothing,” she mumbled, voice muffled.

Elizabeth frowned. “What was that?”

“Nothing, it’s nothing,” Molly translated, laughing. She peeled the pillow off Lana’s face. “Would you just admit that you two are back together already?”

“Molly!” Lana hissed. “No one was supposed to know that yet!”

“If you didn’t want people to know, you should probably stop mooning over each other in public,” Kristina advised with a grin. “It’s pretty much a dead giveaway.”

Molly looked over at Lana and nodded. “She’s right, you know.”

“Lana?” Elizabeth asked hopefully.

Lana looked around the room at the expectant faces and sighed. “Yes,” she admitted. “We got back together two weeks ago.”

Kristina and Molly squealed and there was a threeway hug as both girls threw themselves on top of Lana. Alexis looked bemused at the girls antics, and Elizabeth beamed, happy that her youngest son’s love life finally seemed to be back on track.

Audrey’s voice interrupted the glee. “So are you and Jake getting married too?”

Lana pulled back from the hug looking horrified. “What? No! I’m 19. No getting married, not for a long, long, long time.”

“You say that now…” Molly teased, laughing as Lana hit her with a pillow. “Hey! No beating up the bride to be while planning her wedding.”

“Oh really?” Lana challenged, hitting her again with a grin.

Alexis and Elizabeth traded resigned looks.

“I take it the wedding planning portion of the afternoon is over?” Alexis asked. “Not to interrupt your fun, of course.”

Molly looked abashed. “Sorry, Mom.”

“Sorry, Alexis,” Lana echoed.

“So what else to we need to decide now?” Molly asked, picking up the wedding planning book that she’d brought with her.

Elizabeth grinned. “You have no idea…” she drawled. “Let the woman who’s had six weddings of her own tell you what’s in store for you…”

She began to detail everything that needed to be decided for the wedding, and Molly’s eyes got wider and wider as she began to scribble down notes.

It was a good thing the wedding wasn't for more than a year. She'd need all the days that she could to get all of this done.

She'd have to start tomorrow.
