Everyone is starting classes and a new semester while I am at home reading about buddhism and feeling rather unexciting.

Here are some of my recently acquired Buddhist wisdoms:

-only when you give up all hope and desire of being enlighted can you attain enlightenment
-there is no good or bad, there is only 'what is'
-the root of all suffering comes from desire, if one ceases to desire to escape pain and only seek pleasure then you will not suffer
-the idea of form is only a manifestation of ego and thus is not real
-fully feel what you are and relate 'as you are' to the rest of the world, and a sense of openess and warmth will follow
-meditation is good, but you can't try too hard at it or it won't happen
-find the 'middle way'

There is this sweet thrift store in lynnwood that sells cds for 50 cents, so i got some nirvana, paula cole, dave matthews band, alanis morriset, maroon 5, jane's addiction, madonna, beastie boys and the rembrandts...it was amazing, all that for 6 bucks!

I was half an hour early to my violin lesson and I got there just as it started snowing, so I got out of my car and started running around the parking lot, sliding in the snow, throwing hail in the air, twirling and generally enjoying the snow. I was all by myself in this beautiful white world. fantastique! all the people stuck in traffic were ntertained by my antics, or at least i hope so

kennelly keys = amazing

so, im backpacking across easter europe this summer with natalie. so far the plan is to start in berlin, go west to amsterdam, then on to brussels, luxembourg, and down to muchen, vienna, somewhere in slovania, sibnek (croatia) which is right on the coast of the adriatic sea, then a quick trip through serbia and bulgaria to reach athens! we are staying with some of natalies family and hopefully ashleigh walker in greece. plus, we became part of the couch surfing network, so we are going to stay for free and get people who speak english to show us around in every country. yay for the eurorail pass and free couchs! i love europe, it's set up so much better for travel than the US is.

raod trip to western tomorrow with skylar, eric and thomas. im stoked. plus, i get to go to carolyn's classes with her on friday. yay for learning.
