Family Time
My family was in town this weekend. That was fun. I got to hang out with my cousin Sean, which was pretty cool. He's one of my favorites. He came and lived with my family for a few months back when I was in high school, so he and I are really good friends. He has a new girlfriend named Lindsey who is so much cooler than his previous girlfriend. I'm soooooooo glad he finally met a good one. Linda was a bitch and it's a good thing she's gone.
I also got to see my other cousin Derrick's baby boy, Devon. Oh my goddess, he's too cute! He was so excited to see my grandma's dog. He kept putting his hand in front of her face so that she'd lick it (the dog, not my grandma, although I wouldn't put it past her).
I even got to hang out with my neice Katie for a while. She and I raked leaves for my mom and jumped in the piles. We made more of a mess than we cleaned up, but that's ok. I don't think my mom was really relying on our help anyway. I was surrounded by little people and it was awesome!
Anyway, I had a lot of fun. Unlike a lot of people, I actually like my family in big groups, especially when I get to see my aunt's family (which I did). They own a soul food restaurant and I got to eat the most wonderful ribs ever on earth... ever!!! Anyway, the great thing about my family is that they are loud and warm and loving. We speak our minds to eachother, but we care about eachother a lot. We take care of eachother like a family should. It's pretty awesome. Well, I'm gone. I hope you all enjoy your holiday season.
