So I think I may be shifting gears on my whole 21st birthday fiasco. Yes I'm still upset that Noah isn't going to be around for my 21st. I haven't had any official birthday gathering for many years so I really wanted to get those close to me together to go out and have a good time for my last exciting milestone that I've looked forward to for so long. That being said, Star Trek is very important to Noah since its his philosophy of life and what he's grown up with, etc. and its their 40-year convention (in the exciting Las Vegas nonetheless). I know him. He's going. His mind's made up and discussing it any further with him to change his mind is like negotiating with a brick wall. As he says, its stupid to do the same action over and over expecting a different result. So now I'm on to trying to alter plans and to work on what I'm gonna call a strategy for damage control. A lot of people close to me are already pissed that he's not going to be there. I don't want them to hate him or think poorly of him so I need to figure out exactly how to keep this under control. He's really not a bad person, he just doesn't always see things the way I do. I still have until mid-August to sort all this out anyway. I'm not sure whether this change in focus is a good thing or a bad thing. Honestly, I may end up revoking it and return to discussing it with him again. Who knows.
