Poor Zombie
She was spayed the day before we took her home, two weeks ago. The wound seemed to be healing fine. Last week the vet said she'd been licking it some but it probably wouldn't be an issue. Then it got infected, and yesterday we came home from the vet with antibiotics, a funnel collar, and lots of instructions. She's so helpless with the collar! She can't groom, she can barely see, eating is a challenge, jumping and walking are harder. So now we're taking care of a sad invalid kitten. The most heartbreaking part is that she doesn't blame us at all. She's just grateful for the help. I'll be so glad when she's back to normal.
On the plus side, she gained 7 ounces in the 9 days between vet visits! (she weighed less than 2 pounds at the first one, so that's basically a 25% size increase in a week). It's not fat. Also, she's getting really good at walking on her leash. I'll get a video when the cone comes off.
