Purge of Evil

With a double-edged sword, I cut out our tongues
So our words can no longer sting the other
The pooling blood that drains from our mouths
Binds the ugliness and hatred from our minds
In silent reverie, I pray this absolves us
From our sins against each other
Give us strength in our unity
Allow our hearts to find forgiveness...
Forgiveness in the harm from ours pasts
That it will no longer affect our futures.
