No Such Thing As Ghosts

Something I've been meaning to write for a while. I've seen lots of fics where Adric is haunting the TARDIS, and I like them. I also like fics with Donna. So I combined the two.

When Donna Noble was eight and a half, she’d moved house for the first time, and gone through a rather odd phase.

Every now and again, she’d get up, to go to the bathroom ( Read more... )

Ah, poor Adric. How very sad. :( Though, I think he'd want the Doctor to know he was there. Maybe he could do something that would let him see Adric, or even figure out why his ghost was lingering around. I mean, if he's been there since "Earthshock" that's like, three-hundred years, at least. @_@;;;

Still, it makes sense. Poor lad.

I didn't really think that through... then again, Adric probably also knows that the Doctor doesn't believe in ghosts (or not in that sense), and therefore most likely wouldn't have been able to do anything.
Thank you. It seems to have come out how I wanted.

I really enjoyed reading that. It was a sad story though. I loved the interaction between Donna and Adric's ghost. I love the character of Adric and I love the character of Donna Noble and I thought this was a good combination.

Thank you. : ) They probably would interact rather differently if they were both in better moods, though.
And may I just say I love your avatar? : D

I'm glad you liked the avitar I used in my previous comment. I don't remember where I get these avitars, but all credit that I gave to the creators are on my profile page in "view user icons" (or something like that).

So I shall show you my best Adric icon.

My computer has been malfunctioning so I haven't been about for a week or so. (How did I cope!!!)
This was a lovely poignant story. I don't know the new series that well - I prefer classic who - but I think Donna would want to help. I also agree with everyone else, Adric would want the Doc to see him.
I hope you write a sequel - this is too good to leave as a stand-alone.
Thanks for sharing and well done.

I think she'd want to help if she weren't panicking here. She's terrified of him. xD
Eh, it makes sense in side my head that he wouldn't. I guess I could just say that he's not really thinking straight either. Cause, y'know, he's obviously a little confused by the whole thing, he's spent a good few centuries on his own, and then she rants at him, and he gets annoyed.
And I may write a sequel, but I'd have to change the ending for it to work.

Thank you very much!
And it's nice to know that it makes sense inside your head too. That's kind of my reasoning, except I didn't think of the Time War thing, though.
