thanks for doing this service. I have to admit I used to comb DW just for Adric/Matthew stuff. At one low point in the show (and in my life) I almost gave up Doctor Who (mostly thanks to TIME AND THE RANI and a bunch of set reports that contained nothing about the fictional universe of DW and not even comics in one of the specials). I also noticed that any updates on Matt's career wwere few and far between. He must have been great as Peter Pan though...

well, it gives me something to do when my creative streak fails ;)
There are huge voids in coverage and occasionally thats the fault of the editorial team. from these scans onwards though his career somewhat dissappears. i don't think he felt able to top Hamlet.

DWM has been through a lot in its time and its not over yet.

Awww, that's quite delightful, thank you! The interview at the end, with the 50 random questions was quite interesting. I have to pick up that issue for myself. :D

i very nearly described it as a lost interview, i'd forgotten about it completely. terrible of me i know.
tis a shame that in the same period as these images came from Turlough recieved almost double the coverage however

Ahahaha, yeah. indeed lost interview! Well, it was a nice discovery, eh? :)

Turlough's universally liked more, so I guess it's not that surprising. It's interesting though, how much mentality, and the magazine itself, changed between Adric's introduction and Turloughs.

yeah, especially when they are essentially the same charecter - disspossessed alien teenager.

theres an online essay out there somewhere that posits the differences between them are solely that Adric is too much like a cypher for the 'fan' mentality while Turlough is the more 'alien'.

of course the next issue starts the John Nathan Turner Memoirs. dont know if i should scan them or just the pic spam from them...
