Ok, i finally remembered to scramble through my Doctor Who Magazine collection.
here Is the first appearance of Adric. Doctor Who Monthly issue 47 printed in November 1980
you'll note this is a story preview. it could be argued that the fates were against young Adric from the start - DWM at the time had little or no access to the Dr Who office. its ceratinly come a long way since its early days. it had only been a monthly since issue 44.
