...sometimes that happens, even without someone messing with you to make it that way. In that case, you just try and do what you can for them, but try not to hurt yourself too badly by expecting more out of them than they can give. Things might change in the future. Until then? You just kinda gotta roll with it and not let yourself get too messed up over it, hard as that is to do.
And if you're already thinking it, I'm suspecting it might have been true before this week? As far as you know, anyway, right? And if you've already gotten there, then you'll already have an idea of how to get through it. You'll have the strength for it, even if you feel like you don't.
