Well, we don't really call it magic, but sure. Earthbenders control earth, waterbenders control water...you get the basic idea.

Yeah, I think I understand. It's like how most of the magic users I know from my world have some spells they're better at than others. At least, I think that's how it works-- I don't know for sure because I can't use any magic myself.

Well, it's not like you're better at it, it's more like that's the only element you can bend. Only the Avatar can bend all four, and he's a special case.

Only elves and half-elves can use magic in my world. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think it has something to do with being able to control mana in a way that humans can't.

I've never actually seen one myself, but I've heard they have pointy ears and are really pretty-- that's what the books say, anyway. They live in some kind of hidden village away from the rest of the world.
