[Simon charges at it, swinging his whip.]

[Rock demon makes a grab for that whip!]

[And it catches it! Normally, attaching his weapon to his enemy would be advantageous, but the golem is too large to pull of it's feet and with that grip Simon can't pull back his weapon. Knowing this he uses his free hand to hurl a cross at it.]

[Well, unless it's an explosive or weapon cross, it's not going to do much. It is sadly not an undead rock or a real demon, more's the pity.]

[He's not completely surprised by this. It would be moderately effective against golems in his own world, but the holy enchantments on the cross didn't seem to effect everything in Luceti. Lamenting the fact that he doesn't have any of the other weapons from his world, he does the only thing he can do, and pulls as hard as he can on his whip. Hoping beyond hope that the golem will either release his weapon or find itself surprised by the sudden pull and fall over despite its weight]

[Focusing, Simon transforms his whip into its morning star form: a very long chain with a steel ball on the end. Despite its apparent weight, he swings it almost as easily as before, attacking his foe with a much harder, heavier, still holy-powered weapon.]
