I just danced a honky-tonk line dance to Bananarama's "Cruel Summer" in a club full of cowboy hats and adorably polite and agile frat boys. And also "Honky Tonk Bedonkadonk" and "Boot Scootin' Boogie," etc

My aerobics class *loves* "Honky Tonk Bedonkadonk". It is rather catchy, but we have this weird swagger thing in the routine where you're supposed to be holding your enormous belt buckle. So you have all these middle aged ladies in sweats pretending they're wearing belt buckles the size of Texas.

i've known all the words to "boot scootin boogie" since i was 12 years old.
