Another prelude to sunset at the pond. I just love the end of day Golden Hour as the last rays seek out little openings and put their best in the final spotlight of the day. After I took this picture, I went over and sat on the old bench and just listened in the peace of the falling night. I could hear the cicadas and chirpings of some birds, but what made me breathe deeply, sigh and smile was the “who, who” of the Great Horned Owl mates calling to each other from the trees across the road. It was almost dark and they would be closing the gates soon. Time for me to head home.
