We were out again looking for sunsets. We ended up further away from home this time, in Palmetto, at a place I'd wanted to go see for quite awhile at sundown.
Until recently, I had no idea that there was an actual word associated with sunsets or people who love them.
The word is Opacarophile. If you break it down: opacare is Latin meaning dusk or sunset, and phile, which is the Greek word for love.
Sunsets affect our mood. They are a wonderful inducer of calm, helping to take away our stress and slow us down, relaxing us, letting us experience the joy and beauty of the moment.
