A morning walk . . .

I've been getting out quite a bit lately and what I'm most pleased about is my early morning walks at Robinson. I've been getting up at 6:30, doing the essentials and heading out. I'm there by 7 a.m., just as the sun is coming up, walk for an hour, then home. I feel good about getting this exercise and hope it strengthens me and makes my hips and back not hurt so much. The only thing different and new is now I am using a walker. I find I can walk into the preserve further because I don't have to carry the heavy camera equipment and I can sit down if I want to. So far I haven't sat down once though, but just knowing a seat is there if I need it seems to soldier me onward. I wasted so much time this winter when the weather was beautiful for walking, but mornings are still pleasant and cool, so better late than never.

This past year or so they have done many renovations down there and planted tens of thousands of wildflowers (and other things).
Everywhere you look now there is huge areas of bright colors of orange, yellow, red and purple! Yesterday I only carried my small wide angle lens with me and I had a plan. I actually got down on the ground to take this picture from a different angle/perspective, knowing I could use my walker to help me get up to my feet...and it did.

I have such a huge backlog of pictures! I'm going to try and start working on them to post. My intentions are good . . .
