“On the Way to Margaritaville”

The original infrared photo was taken September 2015 with my inexpensive converted pocket camera. I love infrared and oftentimes think I'd love to get a much better IR camera with full spectrum color.

Here's the back story . . .
In 2015, when this marina and resort that’s east of the bridge going onto Anna Maria Island was just "a twinkle in someone's eye" and the clearing of land and construction had barely begun, I stopped by. I was across the road at Neal Preserve and curious about what was going on so I walked over. No one was really allowed on the premises yet unless they were workers, but that didn't stop me and my endless curiosity. I only took a couple of shots before someone appeared and asked if I worked there. When I said no, they nicely said I should leave. It wasn't the first time that has happened and it probably won't be the last. Oh well, it’s quite a fancy, huge sprawling place now, and I’m so glad I was able to document it back then.

(I sent off yesterday to get it printed in a small size, just to see how it turns out.)
